Joaquin Turina Trio Videos from Jordan Hall on InstantEncore

I had the rare opportunity to work with the great Teacher and instrumentalist Ken Radnofsky, Saxophone teacher at NEC (and many other schools in the Boston area). We played his own transcription of Joaquin Turina's trio #1 Op. 35 for Violin, Cello & Piano as the center piece of his faculty recital at NEC this past Monday, February 21, 2011.

This piece works really well in this combination and the flute and saxophone never compete in terms of color or dynamic range always complementing one another. This works has a lot of subtle tempo and character changes and is filled with coloring approaches in both French and Spanish styles of writing. All is all a very Beautiful, gratifying piece of the chamber repertoire which I hope you will enjoy. Thank you, Marco Granados
